RD3DP Get Lokus

Help

License terms.

What you get when you buy from RD3DP, in plain language.

Last updated: October 5, 2026

The short version

Buy Lokus once and it's yours to use for as long as you like, on up to two of your own computers, with every Lokus 1.x update free. Lokus keeps your work on your computer and collects nothing about you. Please don't share or resell it. Lokus is provided as is, and what the AI writes is yours to check and yours to use.

Who these terms are with

These terms are between you and Redesign3DP (RD3DP), a one-person business in the USA. By installing or using Lokus you agree to them. Questions go to rd3dp.support@gmail.com.

What one purchase gives you

  • A personal, perpetual license for one person to install and use Lokus on up to two computers that person owns or uses. Personal and work use are both fine.
  • Every Lokus 1.x update, free. No subscription. If there is ever a Lokus 2, it may be a new purchase, and your copy of Lokus 1 keeps working, with your license, for good.
  • Changing computers is fine: use Deactivate this computer in Lokus's Help, or Reset my computers on the Activate screen (once every 30 days). Lost your key? It's in your Payhip receipt email, or write to me.
  • If you need Lokus on more computers, email me and we'll work it out.

What it doesn't allow

  • Sharing, reselling, renting or giving away Lokus, its installers or its license key, or putting them online for others to download.
  • Modifying Lokus, decompiling or taking it apart to change how it works, or removing, disabling or getting around its license activation, including with the help of software tools or AI.
  • Removing copyright or license notices, or passing Lokus off as your own product.
  • Offering Lokus to other people as a hosted service.

Where the law where you live gives you a right to do any of this that can't be taken away, that right still applies. You buy a license to use Lokus; ownership of the software itself stays with Redesign3DP.

Lokus is proprietary, commercial software, not open source. A copy of these terms, LICENSE-TERMS.txt, is installed with Lokus, and by installing or activating Lokus you agree to them.

What you make is yours

Your conversations, characters, heroes, quests and code projects belong to you. RD3DP claims no rights in them.

Your privacy

Lokus runs on your computer and keeps your work on your disk. It has no telemetry, analytics, ads or tracking. I don't sell or share data and have no third-party data partners. Lokus contacts my server for only two things: checking whether a new version is out (nothing about you is sent) and activating your key (the key, a scrambled computer ID and your computer's name). With a local model your conversations never leave your computer. With a cloud model you choose, they go directly to that provider under its terms; I never see them. The privacy policy has the details.

AI models and what they write

Lokus is an interface. The AI models are made by other people and come from Ollama or the providers you choose, each under its own terms. A model's answers can be wrong, and code it writes can have bugs. Check anything important before you rely on it, and review code before you run it, deploy it or flash it to a board. You're responsible for what you do with a model's output.

If you use a cloud model or an outside AI provider, that provider's terms and pricing apply to that use.

Third-party components

Lokus includes open-source components, voice and speech models, and art assets, each under its own license (for example the GPL, Apache, MIT, Creative Commons and CC0 licenses). Those licenses apply to those parts, and nothing in these terms limits the rights they give you.

Refunds

If Lokus won't run on your computer and we can't fix it together, you get a full refund within 14 days. See the refund policy. A refund ends your license, so please uninstall Lokus afterwards.

Ending a license

Your license ends if you break these terms, for example by sharing your key or putting Lokus online for others to download. I can then turn the key off. A refund or a chargeback also ends the license.

If the activation service ever closes

If I ever shut down Lokus's activation service for good, I'll release a version of Lokus that doesn't need it, so your copy keeps working.

STL files

Each STL file lists its own terms on its page. Unless it says otherwise, you may print the file for your own use, but you may not resell or share the file itself. Printing is at your own risk: check that a part is strong enough and safe for what you use it for.

No warranty

Lokus and the STL files are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose. I work hard to make them reliable, and if something breaks I want to hear about it, but I can't promise they will be free of errors or suit every setup.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Redesign3DP isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits, and its total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product. Back up anything important.

Your rights under the law

Some places give consumers rights that can't be excluded. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. If the consumer law where you live gives you protections that can't be waived, those still apply.

Changes

If these terms change, I'll update this page and the date at the top. Changes never take away a license you already bought.

The whole agreement

These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement about Lokus. If a court finds any part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies.
