Home/STL Files/Coil winding counter
What it is
Stop counting turns in your head.
Winding a coil by hand means counting every turn, and losing count at 340 means starting over. A cordless drill makes the winding fast, but it doesn't do the counting for you.
This printed holder attaches a magnetic digital counter to the drill. Every turn of the chuck adds one, so the number on the screen is the number of turns on the coil. It's compact, easy to carry and easy to store. I built it for my own coil work on the bench, and the files are free.
What you need
The counter it's built around.
The STL is the holder. The counter itself comes from Amazon. Either of these works.

Any 3D printer and slicer. The holder clips onto a cordless drill.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. The counter costs you the same either way.
